In this fun and highly visible role as the Learning & Development Manager, you will develop and deliver unique talent development programs that support our client’s three main goals: create a great brand, build a successful business, and make the company a great place to work.
Responsibilities:
* Partner with business leaders to identify business performance needs, securing buy-in on program purpose, content, and learning outcomes
* Collaborate with HR colleagues to leverage their expertise and best current thinking
* Develop and enhance learning and development programs designed to strengthen organizational performance and support professional growth and development
* Manage the design, development, piloting, and delivery of new learning and capability building development programs
* Develop the complete learning experience including development of programs and instructional design, lectures, group discussions, demonstrations, role play, and case studies
* Create clear, concise, well-designed, and easy to use materials to enhance learning (video, job aids, handouts, games, etc.)
* Coordinate production of learning materials: design, printing, binding, scheduling, etc.
* Coordinate and track enrollment and attendance
* Deliver programs for maximum transfer of learning and application to the job
* Drive follow-through to maximize transfer of knowledge, skills, and capabilities to the job
* Develop and enhance On-Boarding programs
* In conjunction with the Director of HR and Development, assist in training and communication of the annual performance appraisal process
* Leverage the outputs of the annual performance management and talent management process: conduct an annual review of development plans, analyzing data, establishing organizational priorities, and making recommendations
* Design programs that support high potential/high performers
* Assist in the development, implementation and administration of Talent Management initiatives i.e. development of competencies, performance management process, succession planning, etc.
* Assist in the development and reporting of training and talent management metrics
* Research, identify, and partner with outside vendors as appropriate
* Coach managers and associates to achieve their potential
* Research and recommend best practices
Education/Experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
* 8+ years of learning and development experience designing and facilitating corporate and service learning and development programs
* Demonstrated experience in quickly translating learning objectives into innovative learning initiatives that engage and inspire people
* Exceptional facilitation and coaching skills
* Strong platform skills and a confident presenter
* Outstanding written communication skills
* Certification in coaching, assessment instruments, and various managerial programs is a plus
* Solid project management skills – must be adept at keeping multiple projects on track
* Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and e-learning authoring tools
* Strategic thinker – quickly grasps business issues
* Proven ability to create and maintain effective internal partnerships with managers
* Creative individual who enjoys the challenge of building rather than maintaining
* Engaging, strong communicator
* Self-starter, high energy, results driven
