The Benefits Leader will be an effective leader and will assist in the development, administration, and planning for one or more group benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, short and long–term disability, worker’s compensation, OSHA, life/AD&D insurance, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, and LOA. The Benefits Leader will ensure the organization’s practices are in compliance with established policies, requirements and regulations, provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of benefit programs and oversight for day-to-day benefit plan operations (including billing, claims, eligibility maintenance of benefits records, documents, reports, internal processes, relationships with vendors, and supervision to lower level benefits administrators), and implement/execute project initiatives to ensure efficient and effective benefit programs, practices, and procedures company-wide.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of six years of experience in employee benefit administration. Professional designation such as CEBS preferred, as well as PMP certification or demonstrated equivalent experience.
* Complete understanding and knowledge of industry, practices, standards, and concepts within benefits and the broader business segment. Solid knowledge of management practices preferred.
* Ability to plan, execute and control a project, establishing realistic estimates and reporting metrics.
* Ability to manage and prioritize complex, changing workloads in a challenging, fast paced environment.
* Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations and compliance requirements including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Worker’s Compensation, and Medicare.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of plan design.
* Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products. Demonstrated PC experience with the ability to develop and use spreadsheets, database applications, and query tools are essential.
